General Terms - Ordering
It is illegal to sell or supply alcohol to persons who are under, or appear to be under the age of 18. By placing an on-line order with Premium Wine Collections Ltd, you are confirming that you are over the legal age limit for the purchase of alcohol.
An e-mail response will be sent on receipt of an on-line order confirming availability, price and expected delivery date.
Placing an on-line order on our website does not constitute a contract, this is only made when we accept your order and complete processing of your payment.
We reserve the right not to accept an order.
2. Prices
All wines are quoted per 75cl bottle (unless otherwise stated). Prices include UK Duty and UK Value Added Tax (VAT) applicable at the time of payment.
Prices quoted on the website or on the company’s current published price list are subject to variation without notice.
3. Payment
All orders must be paid in full prior to dispatch.
Payment may be made using our secure service provider “WorldPay” using methods of payment accepted by “WorldPay”.
We accept payment by cheque – payable to Premium Wine Collections Ltd – and drawn on a
UK
domiciled bank. However we also reserve the right to delay
shipping until such cheque has cleared.
We are also happy to take credit card details over the telephone or by fax.
4. Deliveries & Charges
We deliver on a daily basis to all
UK
mainland addresses, via an independent courier.
Orders received prior to
midday
will, in general, be delivered the next day, (there may be slight delays for the
Scottish
Highlands
and
Islands
).
Generally we will not deliver on a Saturday, however if this is required a small extra charge may apply. If this is required please telephone Premium Wine Collections Ltd. on 01603 427554 during normal office hours, to arrange this delivery and be advised of any possible surcharge.
Delivery Charges: We will add £10.00 (inclusive of VAT) per order to your invoice for up to three cases (36 bottles). For orders greater than three cases, delivery to a single address in the
UK
mainland (i.e excluding
Northern Ireland
) is free.
For whole case (12 bottles) orders to a single delivery address within the county boundaries of
Norfolk
and
Suffolk
(and subject to prior agreement with us – certain postcodes in
East Cambridgeshire
) delivery is free.

5. Returns, Guarantees & Cancellation
If upon opening within one month of delivery a wine is found to be faulty (e.g ‘corked’) PWCL undertakes to replace or issue a credit note to the value of the original invoice for the bottle or bottles so affected. PWCL may require the return of such wines and if so will make the necessary arrangements to have them returned.
After one month from delivery the return of any product for any cause whatsoever will be accepted only at the company’s complete discretion.
Risk in goods shall pass to the purchaser upon delivery in accordance with the purchaser’s instructions. PWCL accepts no liability for damage or loss to goods in transit unless the purchaser:
1)
Inspects to the goods on delivery and
2)
Retains all packaging material for inspection and
3)
Endorses the delivery note with any identified loss or damage and
4)
Reports the loss or damage* to
Premium Wine Collections
Ltd immediately on 01603 427554 and to the courier at the time of delivery and in writing within 7 working days of the day of delivery. If we accept responsibility for the loss we will replace the wines or issue a credit note. If the order is delivered by courier we shall require confirmation of the loss or damage by the courier in writing. .
*For this purpose the term damage applies only to the bottle or container or if purchased as part of the order any gift box and specifically does not apply to the packaging, the closure or to any label howsoever affixed to the product or contained within the package.
You have the right to cancel your order, for any reason, within 7 working days of delivery of your order. If the goods have been delivered to you then any such returns must be returned unopened, in their original packaging and in the same condition as when they were received by you. The cost of returning the goods will be borne by you and the balance of the amount of the order less £10 to cover our original delivery costs will be repaid within 30 days of the cancellation date. If the goods have not yet been despatched then we shall cancel the invoice entirely and refund to you all monies paid after deduction of an administration charge of £5. If at the time of cancellation of your order the goods are in transit (i.e. have been despatched by us but not yet delivered to you) we reserve the right to levy such charges as are required to recover our delivery and recovery expenses up to a maximum of £25.
6. Privacy
Upon registering with Premium Wine Collections Ltd, we will collect only sufficient information to process and deliver your order, including method of payment.
The information we collect may also be used for sending special offers, news letters, coming events etc. If you do not wish to kept informed in this way please click the ‘unsubscribe’ box at the end of these terms and conditions.
7. Availability
We continually check our list for vintage and description, however when a vintage becomes out of stock we will replace with the next current vintage. Occasionally a wine may become unavailable in any vintage, if that occurs we will discuss with you an alternative.
In the case of mixed wine cases, we reserve the right to substitute wine for that of an equal quality, should the chosen wine be out of stock. Alternatively if the chosen wine is temporarily out of stock we will contact you to advise of the coming availability.
8 Consequential losses and Force Majeure.
PWCL undertakes to supply the goods you have ordered to the address you have given us within the timescales agreed and at the price contracted. Whilst PWCL will make every effort to put right any problem with our product or service it shall not be liable for any consequential loss or expenses whatsoever arising out of any failure or delay in performance of its obligations to the purchaser as a result of causes beyond its reasonable control including strikes, lockouts, trade disputes, accidents or ‘Acts of God’.
The payment for all items ordered are processed using the services of our partner, Worldpay, who provide a secure online payment service. We accept the following credit/debit cards and payments in pounds sterling.
